Luxury properties to debut in Ras Al Khaimah and Riyadh
The Ascott Limited will open two Crest Collection properties in the Middle East by 2028, with a resort on Al Marjan Island in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE, and a hotel in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
This marks the brand’s first entry into the Middle East and is part of Ascott’s wider strategy to introduce its experience-focused properties to cities throughout the region.
Expected to open on Marjan Island (pictured) in the first quarter of 2027, Al Mahra Resort by The Crest Collection will bring 539 rooms and suites to Ras Al Khaimah, one of the UAE's fastest-growing tourism destinations.
The resort will blend Arabian heritage with contemporary luxury, offering travellers “immersive experiences that reflect the rich history and culture of the destination”.
The property itself will draw design inspiration from the Arabian ‘Mahra’ horse and offer a range of dining options, including a restaurant, cafe, pool bar and beach bar.
Facilities will include a swimming pool, fitness centre, a watersports centre, a kids’ play area, wellness facilities and a programme of immersive experiences.

Crest Collection will continue its regional expansion with the opening of its debut property in Saudi Arabia in 2028.
Located in the prestigious An Nakheel district, in the northwest of the city’s commercial core, this five-star development is close to landmarks such as the Kingdom Tower and Riyadh Gallery Mall and will offer hotel rooms, serviced apartments and suites, catering both to leisure and business travellers.
The property will feature speciality dining and include a signature Reading Room lounge, wellness facilities and state-of-the-art meeting spaces.
Commenting on the expansion, Kevin Goh, CEO of Ascott Limited, said: “The Middle East remains a key growth market for Ascott, and our expansion there is aligned with our strategy to strengthen our global presence and offer more accommodation choices to our guests."
These openings are part of Crest Collection’s broader growth plans, which have seen the brand add more than 1,200 units from four new signings and one opening in the past six months alone.
The Ascott group currently has 40 properties and more than 5,800 units in operation and under development across the Middle East, Africa and Turkiye.
