12 EMEA Marriott hotel openings planned for 2025

Highlights include The Red Sea Edition in Saudi and The Palace, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Madrid

Global hotel giant Marriott has released details of 12 new hotels to open in 2025 in key destinations across Europe and the Middle East (EMEA).

Highlights include luxury properties in Saudi Arabia, Cape Verde, South Africa and several destination in Europe, as well as the third The Ritz-Carlton Yacht.

Middle East

The Red Sea Edition, Saudi Arabia
The brand’s second outpost in Saudi Arabia, this Shura Island resort is part of Saudi’s Red Sea Project. The 240-key hotel will have multiple restaurants and dry bars, a spa, a pool and a gym.

Bab Samhan, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Diriyah, Saudi Arabia 
Nestled within a labyrinth of alleyways, the 134-key Bab Samhan hotel is the first to open in Diriyah. Guests can explore the ancient heritage of Saudi through guided tours of the nearby UNESCO site, as well as storytelling sessions, poetry readings and culinary tours.

Four Points by Sheraton São Vincent Laginha Beach, Cape Verde
This opening marks Marriott’s entry into Cape Verde. Situated in a bay in Mindelo, a port city in Northern São Vicente Island. The 128-key resort offers access to Laginha beach via a skybridge on the first floor, which also has an infinity pool and pool bar.

Morea House, Autograph Collection, Cape Town, South Africa
Just steps from Camps Bay Beach, Morea House, Cape Town’s first Autograph Collection hotel offers guests 90 rooms to choose from. Guests can enjoy a terrace with ocean views, paired with a tapas restaurant and bar. There’s a Wellness Spa too that merges healing with wellness.

Europe 

The Palace, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Madrid, Spain
Formerly The Westin Palace, Madrid, has undergone a major transformation to become The Palace, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Madrid. The 470-key hotel is in one of the city's most historic districts, part of the recently designated UNESCO Landscape of Light site.

The Lake Como Edition, Italy
Set to open in Spring 2025 this 145-key hotel is positioned on the western shore of Lake Como, a short drive from central Milan. This historic property will be transformed into a luxury lifestyle destination.

W Florence, Italy
Bringing the W Hotels brand to the iconic Tuscan city of Florence, W Florence is positioned a short walk from the Ponte Vecchio riverfront, Duomo and the shopping district of Via de’ Tornabuoni. The 119-key hotel has a standout rooftop garden with panoramic views of the city.

Casa Brera, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Milan, Italy
A few steps from Piazza della Scala, this 116-key hotel has been developed following the careful restoration of a historic building. The culinary direction is guided by the acclaimed Italian chef Andrea Berton.

Cappadocia Marriott Hotel, Türkiye 
Offering a gateway to the historic area, the hotel is located near the UNESCO-listed Göreme National Park, the Open-Air Museum and the region’s underground cities. The 298-key hotel has a health club and spa, a fitness centre and indoor and outdoor pools.

Aloft Istanbul Karaköy, Türkiye
The second Aloft property to open in Türkiye is in Karaköy, one of the city’s oldest neighbourhoods, a former port turned cultural hotspot. Adopting a “different by design” philosophy, the hotel’s two-storey lobby is a hive of activity. By day, it serves as a collaborative workspace and lounge, and by night, it transforms into an extension of the W XYZ Bar and a concert space at Re:mix lounge.  

Aloft Türkiye

JW Marriott Crete Resort & Spa, Greece
This opening marks the brand’s debut on the Cretan seafront. Nestled in Marathi, near Chania, the resort spans 100 acres and has 160 guestrooms, suites and villas. It will have five dining venues and a resort spa.

Cruise 

Luminara, The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection, Mediterranean & Asia-Pacific 
The third superyacht in collection will build on the success of the first two yachts. Slated for launch in July 2025, this 242-metre yacht will accommodate up to 452 guests across 226 suites, each with a private ocean-view terrace.
