Taj, Kimpton and Zleep brands to debut in Germany this year
As an international platform for trade shows, including the world’s largest book fair, and a major financial centre that’s the only city in the world with two central banks, Frankfurt is a place that clearly means business.
Far from being all work and no play, Frankfurt is a growing magnet for leisure tourists too, drawn by its year-round calendar of vibrant festivals, multitude of museums, superior shopping, diverse dining and calming green spaces.
Already home to luxury international hotel brands and local heroes offering everything from business to boutique, here are five new hotel openings coming to Frankfurt in 2025.
Hyatt Kennedy 89 Hotel Frankfurt
Opening in March 2025, this luxury property marks the second Hyatt-branded hotel in Frankfurt and is part of the Unbound Collection, Hyatt’s portfolio of independent properties. The hotel’s name is a nod to its location on Kennedy Allee, a street name acknowledging former US President John F Kennedy’s extended stay in Frankfurt in 1963, while the interiors designed by Studio Lux Berlin take their design cues from Sixties style.
Set in the elegant Sachsenhausen district, less than five minutes from the banks of the river Main and its mile-long stretch of museums, the property is also within walking distance of the city’s historical centre. All 181 rooms and suites come equipped with kitchens, making them ideal for longer stays, and private balconies, many with views across the city.
Eighty Nine Restaurant combines Middle Eastern cuisine with local Frankfurt flavours and outdoor seating, while Kasa Lounge serves comfort food and a rooftop bar offers sweeping city views and cocktails. There’s also a gym and event spaces. hyatt.com/en-US/hotel/germany/kennedy-89

The Florentin Frankfurt
Reopening in summer 2025 as part of the Althoff Collection, The Florentin is set to breathe new life into a Frankfurt landmark. Housed within a turn-of-the-century mansion designed in gothic and renaissance style by architect Alfred Günther, the 147-key luxury hotel offers 95 studios and 52 suites, 13 of which are located in the original historic villa, and one that spans a massive 320 square metres.
The property’s lush inner courtyard provides a space for guests to relax or dine, and there are several restaurants, a spa and event spaces. Nestled in the quiet Sachsenhausen district just steps from the River Main and the city’s museum district, this stylish urban retreat is a 15-minute walk from the railway station and 15 minutes by car to the airport. althoffcollection.com/en/the-florentin
