New-look ship to sail in Med from April 2025
Royal Caribbean International is to spend more than US$100 million to revamp Allure of the Seas ahead of its summer 2025 Mediterranean sailings.
The 5,500-passenger vessel entered service as sister ship to Oasis of the Seas in 2010.
It will follow a refurbishment of Oasis of the Seas, which was carried out in 2019 as the latest in the line’s Oasis-class ships to be “reimagined”.
Allure of the Seas will be one of six Royal Caribbean ships sailing from five destinations in Europe in summer 2025.
The vessel will operate from Barcelona from April on seven-night itineraries including Marseille, La Spezia for Florence and Pisa, Civitavecchia for Rome and Palma in Majorca.

The refurbishment includes the addition of new panoramic suites above the ship’s bridge, a new-look pool deck, racing waterslides, a Caribbean tiki bar, sports bar and a southern US-style restaurant, an escape room and a laser tag zone.
The line’s chief product innovation officer Jay Schneider said: “From the new Icon and Utopia of the Seas to now the more than US$100 million transformation of Allure of the Seas, we’ve upped the ante threefold on the different ways vacationers can get away and make memories with Royal Caribbean.
“Allure will be reimagined with the best of Royal Caribbean and what travellers love. Between new favourites, like the Pesky Parrot tiki bar, and experiences that unlock core memories time and time again, from an incredible pool deck to an unmatched combination of thrills and ways to chill, Allure will have even more of everything that makes it a standout favourite.”
