Ponant’s new magazine-catalogue hybrid will introduce customers to its new ship and voyages
Ponant’s new polar exploration ship, Le Commandant Charcot, set sail on her maiden cruise to the Antarctic this month. To introduce the new ship, Ponant unveiled a 188-page publication entitled Polar Odysseys.
Somewhere between a magazine and catalogue, Polar Odysseys is an immersive brochure that aims to transport the reader into the Arctic and Antarctic worlds in a new way by offering a comprehensive 360-degree vision of all the voyages aboard Le Commandant Charcot.
In keeping with the company’s CSR commitments, readers can browse through a digital version of the ‘magalogue’ on Ponant’s website, complete with QR codes to access the audio-visual and interactive content online. From December a version printed on recycled paper will also be available.

The brochure allows guests to gain a better understanding and knowledge of these extraordinary environments by featuring testimonies from the expedition teams on Le Commandant Charcot.
The section entitled The North Pole, the South Pole and You gives readers a glimpse of the wide open spaces, while Life Onboard reveals the ship’s interior design, facilities and services. For those interested in the line’s history, Jean-Baptiste Charcot, a Polar Destiny will serve as a valuable resource.
