Norwegian Prima returns to sail from Southampton in June
Norwegian Cruise Line ship Norwegian Prima returns for a second summer of sailings from Southampton, UK this week.
The new-generation vessel will begin ex-UK sailings from 5 June 2023 as part of a 10-ship deployment in Europe running until December 2023.
The 3,099-passenger Norwegian Prima will also operate from Barcelona and Reykjavik, the Icelandic port it was named in last August. Southampton departures run until October.
Sister ship Norwegian Viva is also part of the European sailing schedule with departures from 15 ports, including Bilbao, Tromso, Marseille and Ravenna in Italy for the first time.
The line is offering 132 itineraries as part of the programme covering 150 ports of call throughout northern Europe, the Mediterranean and the Greek islands.
NCL, which has a 19-strong fleet of ships, is also shifting towards longer cruises, with 87% of European voyages having a duration of nine or more days, compared to 63% in 2019.
Ships will spend an average of 10.5 hours in port to allow for shore exploration and excursions.
