Great Stirrup Cay enhancements include a tram service and Tiki-inspired experiences
Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) has unveiled updates for its private island in the Bahamas, Great Stirrup Cay.
NCL President David J. Herrera shared details during the christening ceremony of new ship Norwegian Aqua. As well as practical updates to the pier so it can accommodate larger vessels, there is also a new tram service for passengers to explore the island.
New experiences including an expansive pool area with a dedicated bar and kids splash zone will debut in the fourth quarter of 2025.
Extending NCL’s successful concepts from ship to shore, Vibe Beach Club will be an adults-only outdoor lounge with private cabanas and sun loungers. Horizon Park, the recreational area which recently debuted on Norwegian Bliss and Norwegian Breakaway, will further provide lawn-style games for the whole family.
To give a flavour of the Bahamian beachside lifestyle, a new relaxation area will include hammocks and Tiki-inspired experiences.
