MSC Cruises records strong regional growth

Passenger numbers have increased by 20% YOY

MSC Cruises has achieved strong results in the GCC market with more than 20,000 passengers sailing from the Middle East in 2023.

This year, the line’s performance is already at 45% of  budgeted figures.

MSC Cruises executive director Angelo Capurro said: “MSC Cruises is the third largest cruise brand by capacity with 22 vessels. MSC will have an additional three world-class ships coming into service in 2025, 2026 and 2027."

Capurro continued: "“We have our cruise ferries as well as our latest luxury product Explora Journeys. Explora has smaller ships that can accommodate around 1,000 guests and will add three new ships by 2027 – Explora II in 2024, Explora III 2026, and Explora IV."

MSC Cruises is also investing in new cruise terminals with a recent opening in Miami in December 2023 and an upcoming opening in Barcelona in December 2024.

MSC Euribia will be deployed from Dubai on rotation from 24 November 2024 to 25 March 2025.
