MSC Cruises partners with Guinness World Records

Cruise passengers will be invited to participate in breaking world records

MSC Cruises has announced a new entertainment partnership with Guinness World Records.

The line’s guests can participate in activities by day and audition for a grand evening show where finalists can demonstrate their talents and attempt to break Guinness World Records.

The initiative is currently being run on board MSC Seascape and MSC World Europa and will be on the line’s newest flagship, MSC Euribia, when she welcomes guests in June 2023 for her inaugural season in Northern Europe.


The newly announced partnership is part of MSC Cruises’ overall strategy to create and offer more immersive entertainment programmes to its guests.

Speaking about the partnership, MSC Cruises global head of Entertainment, Steve Leatham said: “We’re delighted to join forces with Guinness World Records. We’re always on the hunt for new and engaging concepts for our guests.  This partnership provides unique and enriching entertainment at the highest level, and we look forward to continuing to offer a dynamic range of exciting experiences for guests of all ages.”

Some of the Guinness World Records highlights include:

  • The Records Show, an onboard version of the Guinness World Records TV show, will consist of a live stage acts that features a range of record-breaking activities involving audience participation, guests and crew  

  • Children’s Programming, including challenges, quizzes and educational shows

  • Guinness World Records Facts, a trivia quiz to test guests' knowledge on Guinness World Records.

  • Guinness World Records Family Quiz, a record-breaking quiz, using live challenges and Guinness World Records video races to see if audiences can select the winner.

Any new records will be verified by a Guinness World Records official adjudicator and awarded a Guinness World Records certificate.
