Marella Cruises is returning to the Dominican Republic in winter 2024-25 for the first time since 2017.

Marella Explorer 2 is being deployed from La Romana from Christmas Eve, 2024, for a series of winter Caribbean sailings for adults only.

Itineraries go on sale on 20 July 23 covering islands such as Grenada, Barbados, St Lucia and St Kitts, together with Dominica, Antigua, St Maarten and Tortola and Samana – a new port for the Tui UK and Ireland-owned line in the Dominican Republic. A third itinerary includes Aruba, Curacao and Bonaire.

The company will also be offering winter cruises in the Mediterranean, including two short itineraries.

Marella Explorer will sail from Malaga on 9 December 2024, to Tenerife via Gibraltar and Casablanca in Morocco, with one sea day.

The line’s latest ship Marella Voyager will run a departure from Palma, Majorca, on 2 November next year, visiting Alicante, Almeria and Malaga.

Other new winter itineraries include six-night sailings from Marmaris in Turkey, Corfu Town and Malaga.

We’re therefore pleased to offer a new experience for guests with our new sailings departing from La Romana for winter 2024.

“Customers will be able to explore some of the most popular Caribbean islands throughout their time on board as well as the opportunity to take advantage of Marella’s cruise and stay offering, with the chance to enjoy a stay at one of the Tui hotels in the Dominican Republic, pre- or post-cruise.”

Prices start at US$2,284 per person for Dominican Republic cruises.
