Flagship Bolette to sail from Southampton, UK on 106-night circumnavigation
A 2025 world cruise inspired by journeys taken by famous historical explorers has been scheduled by Fred Olsen Cruise Lines.
Flagship Bolette will follow a similar route to the first world circumnavigation by explorers Magellan and Elcano taken in 1519.
The 106-night cruise, departing from Southampton, UK on 6 January 2025, will include destinations such as Brazil, Argentina, French Polynesia, Mauritius, South Africa and Australia. Prices start at US$13,778.
Passengers will receive up to US$715 on board spending per person, plus free door-to-door transfers covering up to 250 mainland miles from the port.
There's an option to join the ship from Liverpool, UK on 4 January for an additional US$480 for interior and ocean view cabins or US$600 for terrace cabins and suites.
Head of itinerary planning and destination experience Martin Lister said: “We have a real passion for curating creative and innovative itineraries, and this grand voyage really tells a story – retelling the tales of some of history’s greatest adventurers.
“There are some incredible highlights, from seeing the mysterious Moari statues on Easter Island and exploring the tropical islands of the South Pacific with their volcanic landscapes, turquoise lagoons, coral reefs and pearl trade, to delving into the St Helena, the isolated British island that was once a crucial shipping port and the place where Napoleon was exiled.”
