Luxury ship sailed from Copenhagen on a seven-night itinerary to Reykjavik
Explora I, the first ship to join the fleet of Explora Journeys, has started her maiden journey with a seven-night sailing from Copenhagen in Denmark to Reykjavik in Iceland with visits en route to Lerwick, the Shetland Islands and Kirkwall, Orkney.
Explora Journeys CEO Michael Ungerer said: "A new era of transformative luxury ocean travel begins now with the first sailing of Explora I. Our guests will be able to experience the very best European hospitality at sea and our vibrant, cosmopolitan sense of luxury, while discovering some of the world’s most remarkable destinations."
Explora I will return to Copenhagen on 15 August 2023 for a sailing to Hamburg, Germany.
The ship will then spend several weeks in Northern Europe, offering a range of different itineraries before crossing the Atlantic to spend the winter in North America and the Caribbean, returning to Europe in Summer 2024 for voyages in the Mediterranean.
Explora II is currently being built in Italy and will come into service in August 2024. Explora III will join the fleet in 2026, followed by Explora IV in 2027.
