Crystal to accelerate commission payments to agents

Crystal to accelerate commission payments to agents

The luxury cruise line pledges faster processing

Luxury line Crystal is accelerating commission payments to agents.

The change will see renumeration paid between 30 and 50 days before departure or final payment.

Commissions will now be sent out once a booking is paid in full and within a 100% penalty period.

According to the line, this will mean agents receive their earnings sooner than ever before:

  • Standard bookings (cruises under 40 nights): commission paid from 50 days prior to departure.
  • Standard bookings (cruises over 40 nights): commission paid from 90 days prior to departure.
  • 20% Explorer Fare bookings: commission paid within 30 days of receiving final payment.

The enhanced policy by the A&K Travel Group brand will be applied retroactively to all existing, qualifying standard bookings that have been paid in full within the 100% penalty period.

“Advisors can expect payments to be processed within the next 30 days for standard bookings and in the coming months for applicable Explorer Fare bookings,” the company said.

Matias Lira, senior vice president trade sales Americas, UK & EMEA, said: “Travel advisors are at the heart of our success, and we recognise the importance of providing them with the financial support they deserve – faster.

“By accelerating commission payments, we’re reinforcing our commitment to our partners and ensuring they can focus on what they do best: crafting unforgettable journeys for their clients.”
